PSD senator leader, Daniel Zamfir: 'Next week I have full confidence that a majority and a government will crystallize'

Next week could be decisive for the formation of a new government, according to the leader of the PSD senators, Daniel Zamfir. He stated that political negotiations are at an advanced stage, and the PSD prefers a 'political government with parliamentary support', without excluding the option of a technocratic prime minister.

Zamfir emphasized that Sorin Grindeanu is the PSD's first choice for the position of prime minister, but other options are not excluded. He also criticized the PNL's option to support Ilie Bolojan, considering it doomed to failure. Grindeanu mentioned that a minority government with UDMR is a possibility, but not a desire.

President Nicușor Dan will call the parties for official consultations, and all scenarios are on the table, including the restoration of the previous coalition. It is expected that the president will impose conditions for the future government, including establishing the budget for the next year.
