The water crisis in Prahova County has led to a scandal in the governing coalition, with the PSD demanding the resignation of the Minister of Environment, Diana Buzoianu. She will be summoned to the Chamber of Deputies to explain the situation in which over 100,000 people have been left without drinking water. PSD deputies collaborated with AUR to support this request. Additionally, representatives of the Ministry of Environment and other institutions have been called for hearings in the Senate to clarify the circumstances that led to the cessation of drinking water supply.
PSD has accused Buzoianu of incompetence and endangering public health, mentioning that there was a risk of contaminated water being supplied. The Minister of Health has requested that restrictions remain in place until the water is safe for consumption. Criticism of Buzoianu continues, and PSD is asking the leadership of USR to take responsibility for this crisis.
