Diana Buzoianu requests the resignation of the directors from ABA Buzău-Ialomița and ESZ Prahova after the issues at the Paltinu Dam

The Minister of the Environment, Diana Buzoianu, has requested the resignation of the directors of the Buzău-Ialomița Basin Administration and the Prahova Regional Exploitation, accusing them of transmitting false information to the ministry and failing to fulfill legal obligations. She announced the sending of the Control Body to analyze responsibilities and propose sanctions. Buzoianu emphasized that, despite official warnings regarding water supply risks, this information was not communicated to local authorities or the population. Additionally, the water treatment deadline has been modified, which will also be investigated. The Ministry of the Environment collaborates with authorities to ensure drinking water, but emphasized that it does not manage the Paltinu dam and does not decide on water interruptions, but acted based on incomplete information received.
