The Minister of Environment, Diana Buzoianu, made a surprise visit to the Paltinu dam to observe the real situation, without prior preparations for the authorities. Buzoianu emphasized the importance of seeing an unvarnished reality and announced that, by next month, water should reach the pipes. The water treatment process by the ESZ operator is underway, and the necessary analyses will be carried out by the public health departments.

The Minister also mentioned that there is a possibility of dissolving the ESZ company due to the mismanagement of the water crisis, which affects over 100,000 people in the counties of Prahova and Dâmbovița. Buzoianu criticized the lack of communication and action from the responsible institutions, suggesting that changes in their leadership should take place. She stated that directors can be dismissed by the competent authorities, highlighting the need for urgent measures to resolve the drinking water crisis.
