Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan underlined the underfunding of the National Health Insurance Fund and proposed to expand the taxpayer base

In a press conference, Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan discussed the underfunding of the National Health Insurance Fund, which affects the quality of the services provided. He noted that there is a small number of contributors, just over 6 million, compared to more than 16 million beneficiaries. Bolojan proposed expanding the contributor base by reducing exceptions and applying a higher pension contribution to improve the financing of the system.
