Ilie Bolojan stated that the adoption of reforms regarding the pensions of magistrates and the restructuring of local and central administration is an urgent necessity. He emphasized that these measures are essential to reduce expenses and to fit within a budgetary constraint of 6%, considering that interest on loans could reach 60 billion lei, representing 3% of GDP. Bolojan mentioned that discussions have been prolonged, but he hopes that by the end of the month viable solutions will be reached. The Prime Minister explained that the package for administration must be adopted by the Government's assumption of responsibility, given its complexity, which includes not only staff reductions but also improving tax collection capacity and streamlining public services. He also mentioned that the fiscal package is blocked by decisions of the Constitutional Court, but they are waiting for the reasoning to be able to move forward. Bolojan emphasized that these reforms are necessary not only for social equity but also for the long-term health of the budget.
