PNL stated, in a statement issued on Tuesday, that the court's decision to suspend the party's Congress has effects only until the final resolution of the case, when the substance of the case will be analyzed.
Representatives of PNL emphasize that this decision is a step in a broader judicial process and "contradicts the democratic will of the members of the organization."
The statement also specifies that "PNL respects the decisions of the courts and will use all legal means to defend its rights and legitimacy." Additionally, the liberals assert that the decision will not change the political direction of the party and will not affect the reform process recently initiated.
PNL rejects external influences on its decisions and reaffirms its commitment to becoming a "credible alternative" for the modernization of Romania.
We remind that Ilie Bolojan has definitively lost the case against the challengers from PNL, the Bucharest Court of Appeal upholding the decision of the Bucharest Tribunal to suspend the effects of the Decision of the Extraordinary National Council of PNL.
