Petrișor Peiu, the leader of the AUR senators and candidate for the position of prime minister, was elected through an internal vote as president of the National Leadership Council (CNC) of the AUR party, according to an official statement. This position is considered the second in the party hierarchy, after president George Simion. The list of candidates for this position also included MEP Gheorghe Piperea and Sorin Muncaciu.
Additionally, the vice-presidents of AUR were also elected, including Adrian Axinia, Răzvan Biro, Ramona Bruynseels, and others. The internal vote for the appointment of the CNC leadership took place between November 24-27, thus strengthening the party's leadership structure. The National Leadership Council has important responsibilities in coordinating AUR's activities and strategy.
