Petrișor Peiu, the leader of the AUR senators, detailed the party's strategy to reach power, stating that the current governing coalition is harmful to the country. AUR aims to take over leadership either after early elections or after the current majority fails. Peiu emphasized that the party will support the idea of giving a mandate for the formation of a new government, depending on the results of discussions with other parties.
Regarding a possible alliance with Victor Ponta, Peiu was reserved, mentioning that collaboration is difficult but not excluded for certain specific projects. AUR intends to use all available legal levers from the opposition, including submitting a motion of censure, in the event that the Government engages its responsibility on legislative projects. Peiu confirmed that the party will not miss the opportunity to act in this regard in the current parliamentary session.
