The PACE – Întâi România parliamentary group accuses AUR of trying to recruit lawmakers from sovereigntist parties and dismantle rival groups in Parliament. The accusations appear in a statement issued on September 12, 2026, in which PACE claims that AUR’s initiative seeks to secure a monopoly over patriotic representation.

According to the parliamentary group, the main target would be the PACE – Întâi România Group, while the motive would be to block hearings in the Constitutional Affairs Committee, chaired by Senator Cosmina Cerva. PACE also criticizes AUR’s alleged rapprochement with leaders of the Bolojan-USR Government and claims that the party is not seeking cooperation among sovereigntist parties, but rather control over them.

The statement mentions remarks by Dan Dungaciu and Petrișor Peiu about coordinating the vote and the possibility that lawmakers from smaller parties could run on AUR lists. PACE interprets these statements as an attempt at political absorption.

The group says it will resist these efforts and accuses AUR of preferring to divide the sovereigntist camp instead of pursuing governance. The claims represent the position of PACE – Întâi România and were not accompanied by a response from AUR in the material issued.
