Oana Ţoiu, the interim Minister of Foreign Affairs of Romania, emphasized during the NATO foreign ministers' meeting in Helsingborg that hybrid threats from Russia will intensify in the coming period.


The meeting was dedicated to preparing for the NATO Summit in Ankara, where commitments made in The Hague and support for Ukraine will be discussed.

Ţoiu highlighted the importance of strengthening the transatlantic relationship and European contributions to collective security, stressing that the Ankara Summit must reaffirm unity and solidarity among member states. She also pointed out Romania's priorities in modernizing the armed forces and developing the defense industry. In the context of the discussions, the Romanian official reminded of the need for continued support for Ukraine, considering it essential for Euro-Atlantic stability.
