President Nicușor Dan stated, on Tuesday, in Paris, that currently there is no prime minister capable of obtaining the necessary majority, which is why he will not make a gratuitous nomination exercise. He explained that there is an informal dialogue between him and the political parties, but the steps towards reconciliation are still timid.
Nicușor Dan emphasized that if the parties reach a consensus for the formation of a technocratic government, he will appoint a prime minister, but currently there is no such viable option. He also mentioned that following discussions, if a technocratic government takes shape, he will act accordingly, but at the moment there is no concrete alternative.
