President Nicușor Dan declared on Tuesday that the current political crisis in Bucharest will be resolved quickly and in a pro-Western direction. He excluded the possibility of organizing early elections, mentioning the constitutional complexity of this scenario, considering that Romania has not had early elections since 1989.

Nicușor Dan emphasized that there are no risks of Romania deviating from the pro-Western direction, stating that solutions will be found in a short time. At the Cotroceni Palace, he had a meeting with the President of Poland, Karol Nawrocki, before the Bucharest 9 Summit.

Additionally, Dan specified that he will not appoint a prime minister until there is a clear parliamentary majority, asking the parties to confirm whether they have negotiated such a majority before the consultations at Cotroceni.
