The President of Romania, Nicușor Dan, declared during a visit to Kiev that he hopes the political crisis in Romania will end this summer with the formation of a new government.

Dan emphasized that Romanians are waiting for the uncertainty to end so they can make future plans. He mentioned that the solution does not depend on him, but on the political parties, which must be open to compromises to find an optimal way forward.

The President announced that future consultations with the parties will take place, but he emphasized that the current rhetoric narrows the negotiation space.

At the same time, Nicușor Dan reaffirmed Romania's support for Ukraine, highlighting the importance of its territorial integrity and the right to self-defense, within the framework of the Kiev Declaration signed by several international leaders.
