Nicușor Dan participates in the European Council for economic and security solutions

The President of Romania, Nicușor Dan, will participate on Thursday in the European Council meeting, where crucial topics for the European Union will be addressed, such as economic competitiveness, the conflict in the Middle East, support for Ukraine, and strengthening the Union's security. European leaders will discuss concrete measures to reduce energy prices and develop energy connectivity, emphasizing the importance of secure access to resources.

Nicușor Dan will highlight the need to protect European citizens and limit the effects of the conflict on the global economy. Additionally, there will be discussions about financial support for Ukraine and maintaining sanctions against Russia.

In the field of security, Romania will support projects to strengthen the Eastern flank of Europe, in collaboration with NATO. The President will also emphasize the importance of adequate funding within the EU's multiannual financial framework to support economic objectives.
