President Nicușor Dan held a press conference after the informal meeting of the European Council in Nicosia, Cyprus, where he was asked about the political crisis in Bucharest. Dan refused to express opinions, stating that he wishes to remain a mediator in this situation.

He explained that, at present, the government is facing the withdrawal of some ministers and will need to verify the parliamentary majority. Nicușor Dan emphasized that his role is to mediate and help facilitate cooperation between parties. Regarding his relationship with Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan, he stated that it has been cordial, but he avoided commenting on the Prime Minister's statements about the functioning of the government without PSD ministers, mentioning that he will only be able to provide an opinion when there is stability.
