President Nicușor Dan explained to military personnel and employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs that they will benefit from the current retirement conditions, in order to avoid massive retirements.

The President of Romania, Nicușor Dan, addressed, in a press conference, the concerns of military personnel and employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs regarding retirement conditions, similar to those faced by magistrates. He emphasized that those who meet the retirement conditions at the time of the adoption of the new law will benefit from the same conditions, even if they choose to remain in the system. Nicușor Dan mentioned that there is a political agreement to ensure this stability and to prevent massive retirements caused by uncertainties. He also announced that there will be discussions for other professional categories that benefit from service pensions, to provide predictability in their careers.
