Siegfried Mureșan announced that he had held meetings with the parliamentary groups of the National Liberal Party and USR, parties that officially support his designation. The discussions focused on the government program and securing the necessary parliamentary support.

According to his statements, the next meeting is scheduled for Wednesday morning with the UDMR parliamentary group. Mureșan specified that the dialogue with the three parties that have officially expressed their support is taking place in stages, starting with PNL and USR and continuing with the Democratic Alliance of Hungarians in Romania.

Asked about a meeting with Sorin Grindeanu, Mureșan said that he would like it to take place in the coming days, possibly even on Wednesday. He stated that he was looking forward to a dialogue with Grindeanu to discuss the government program and the priorities of the future political configuration.

“Today I held meetings with the parliamentary groups of PNL and USR. Tomorrow morning we will meet with the UDMR parliamentary group. As I said from the beginning, we are first meeting with the three parties that officially support my designation. And I know that Mr. Grindeanu is impatient. I am also looking forward to having a dialogue with him, to discuss the government program over the course of these days, perhaps even tomorrow,” the prime minister-designate said in a statement to the press at the Palace of Parliament, according to Agerpres.
