Mircea Abrudean, the president of the Senate, declared on Wednesday that Romania needs political stability and the continuation of economic reforms, emphasizing that the PSD must take on governance.
Abrudean emphasized that the country does not need political experiments that would compromise recent efforts for budgetary balance. He criticized the initiators of the motion of censure, stating that their actions have affected the process of reducing the budget deficit, supported by economists and international institutions.
The President of the Senate called on the PSD to come up with a new government proposal and to commit to continuing the reforms. Abrudean rejected the idea of a technocratic prime minister, considering that a government is needed to take responsibility for difficult measures.
