The President of the Senate, Mircea Abrudean, stated that the reforms undertaken by Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan have sparked criticism because they affect sensitive areas, such as special pensions and the reduction of the state apparatus. Abrudean emphasizes that the current difficulties are not caused by a lack of funds, but by the impact of these reforms on established interests.

In the context of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR), he warns that Romania has only six months to absorb billions of euros, and the risks of losing these funds are high due to a lack of responsibility. Abrudean urges the continuation of reforms, highlighting their importance for stability and investment, especially in light of the perspective of joining the OECD.

He also expresses support for the Prime Minister, believing that his determination to implement fundamental changes deserves support, not criticism.
