Petrișor Peiu declared that the idea of a minority government is a "linguistic monstrosity," emphasizing that in order to be considered a government, it must obtain at least 233 votes in Parliament, which gives it a majority.

He added that a technocratic prime minister becomes political only when they receive a majority for investiture. Peiu mentioned that there is the possibility of transition governments with technocratic prime ministers, but these are temporary and aim to organize quick elections.

Additionally, the leader of UDMR, Kelemen Hunor, expressed the desire to restore the governing coalition and left open the option of a minority government, in the event that President Nicușor Dan will nominate the leader of PSD for the position of prime minister.
