PSD Deputy Mihai Fifor harshly criticized the emergency ordinance "train" that is set to be adopted by the Government, stating that Education is treated as a "collateral victim". He claims that the budget for Education is minimized, without investments or priorities, and the promises of increasing the hourly pay for teachers have disappeared. Student scholarships remain unchanged, and European funds are seen as temporary solutions, not as public policies.

Fifor emphasizes that teachers are not considered vulnerable employees and that Education is not recognized as a strategic investment, even though it is proclaimed as a pillar of long-term development. His criticism is also directed at the resigning minister Daniel David, whom he considers responsible for the deterioration of the educational system. In conclusion, Fifor states that the emergency ordinance sends a clear message: "Education does NOT matter", leaving Romania without a solid educational future.
