In a post on Facebook, Mihai Fifor launched a vehement attack on the education reform, arguing that the proposed measures will lead to layoffs and the loss of qualified teachers, as well as the closure of rural schools. He points out that Romania has the highest rate of early school leavers in the EU and that the reform will worsen the situation. Fifor believes that the current decisions will not reduce the budget deficit but will cause long-term damage, affecting economic development and national security.
