Kelemen Hunor, the president of UDMR, stated that early elections do not represent a viable solution for Romania, emphasizing the need to restore the governing coalition. He warned that PSD and AUR, through their actions, have created a new problem instead of solving the current crisis.

Hunor mentioned that there is a deadline of 116 days until the closure of PNRR, and the lack of progress could lead to significant financial losses from EU funds. The UDMR leader proposed the formation of a pro-European majority, including PSD, PNL, USR, UDMR, and minorities, and emphasized the importance of a competent prime minister. He also stated that extremists have no place in government and highlighted that the responsibility of the parties is to prioritize the interests of the country, thus avoiding the vulnerability of Romania in the face of extremist forces.
