The leader of UDMR stated that he is waiting for details from Eugen Tomac, appointed by the president to form a new government. Hunor had a brief phone conversation with Tomac, but did not go into details, emphasizing that he will make a decision after the presentation of the list of ministers and the government program. He reiterated that he does not consider Tomac's option a viable solution, mentioning that Tomac leads a non-parliamentary party that failed to enter Parliament. Hunor highlighted the difficulties that a technocratic government will face, given the majority opposition in Parliament.

He also emphasized that the president is not constitutionally obliged to dissolve Parliament after two attempts to form a government. Eugen Tomac stated that he will propose a team of specialists to address national issues, highlighting the need for an open dialogue with all democratic political forces. According to the Constitution, Tomac will request the Parliament's vote of confidence within 10 days of his appointment.
