Kelemen Hunor, the leader of UDMR, stated that the option of a technocratic prime minister is not suitable for Romania, emphasizing that a prime minister should come from the political arena. He believes that the person who will hold this position must have political experience and relationships with political actors in order to be able to coalesce the coalition.

Hunor argued that a technocrat, without political commitment, might not be able to manage political challenges, considering that they could quickly return to the private sector. He also mentioned that there is no other majority without the involvement of parties, including AUR, and that it is essential for someone to try to form a government to overcome the current crisis.

Hunor emphasized the importance of managing relationships and egos during this difficult period.
