In a press conference, Health Minister Alexandru Rogobete emphasized the need for a deep reform of the Romanian healthcare system, criticizing its "patchwork". He called for managers who cannot implement reforms to step aside to allow those who are capable to do so. Rogobete highlighted the lack of essential drugs in hospitals, despite increased budgets, and threatened medical staff who do not respect working hours. He also proposed redirecting patients to outpatient care to reduce costs and optimize the use of hospital resources.
