Sorin Grindeanu: "It seems that if we have a government, it will be one that will not pass with a large majority."

The president of the PSD, Sorin Grindeanu, stated that there are chances for Romania to have a new Government after August 15, estimating that its investment in Parliament could be done "at the limit".

Sorin Grindeanu stated, in a press conference, that according to the positions expressed by the parties in the former coalition and other parliamentary formations, any future government would have chances to obtain the vote of investment only "at the limit". He explained that, regardless of whether the Executive would be built around the PNL, USR, AUR, or PSD, the parliamentary majority would be a fragile one, of approximately 240 votes or just above this threshold. In this context, Grindeanu believes that the chances for the investment of a new government increase after August 15, when the majority of parliamentarians will return from vacation.
