Sorin Grindeanu commented on Victoria Stoiciu's resignation: "I think you should resign from the Senate as well. It's democracy!"

The president of PSD, Sorin Grindeanu, reacted to the resignation of senator Victoria Stoiciu from the party, after the announcement of PSD's collaboration with AUR to submit a motion of no confidence against the Bolojan Government.

"I think she will resign from the Senate as well," Grindeanu reacted on Tuesday at Parliament.

At the same time, Grindeanu, when asked about the accusations of legitimizing extremism, avoided commenting, mentioning that he had made previous statements.

Stoiciu stated that she cannot support the normalization of fascism and emphasized that her resignation is a natural step, considering that her vision no longer aligns with the current direction of the party.

The senator highlighted the necessity of keeping extremist forces politically isolated, warning that any compromise could lead to a normalization of fascism. Victoria Stoiciu was elected to the Senate in 2024, representing the Vaslui constituency.
