How Grindeanu commented on Mureșan’s phone call on the morning when the PSD officially decided to vote on the right-wing government

PSD leader Sorin Grindeanu commented on Monday, after the Social Democrats officially confirmed at the National Political Council the negative vote on the PNL-USR-UDMR Government, on the phone call he received from designated Prime Minister Siegfried Mureșan, emphasizing that he “had all the time in the world to come to discussions”

.“He had all the time in the world to come to discussions, substantive discussions; no one was trying to humiliate him. We wanted to have a civilized discussion, which he refused until 20 minutes ago,” Grindeanu said after the meeting of the PSD National Political Council.

Designated Prime Minister Siegfried Mureșan announced that he had contacted him again, on Monday morning, before the PSD National Political Council meeting, PSD leader Sorin Grindeanu, to whom he sent a document containing Social Democratic proposals included in the governing program of the future Executive.

“PSD will vote only for a pro-Romanian government,” stressed the PSD leader, who also said that Mureșan is “disconnected from Romania’s economic reality.”

Last Wednesday, Siegfried Mureșan and Sorin Grindeanu spoke for the first time after the designation on September 17 and agreed to meet; however, the designated prime minister did not arrive at the PSD headquarters. As a result, Sorin Grindeanu said that PSD would no longer seek meetings with designated Prime Minister Siegfried Mureșan, after the latter allegedly failed to come to the party headquarters for consultations regarding the governing program.

Mureșan claimed at the time that no meeting had been scheduled for a specific time or at a specific place, and that he would have found it natural for discussions regarding the Government’s investiture to take place in Parliament.
