PSD interim president Sorin Grindeanu said that the subject of the appointment of intelligence service chiefs has not been discussed with Mayor Nicușor Dan. He emphasized that it would be "very hard to convince" his PSD colleagues to vote for Dacian Ciolos as head of the SRI, considering the proposal unacceptable and not part of the recent discussions at the Cotroceni. Grindeanu emphasized the president's constitutional right to make proposals, but called for a dialogue with parliament.
