Sorin Grindeanu, pessimistic about highway construction in 2026: "I am a little afraid"

The president of PSD, Sorin Grindeanu, stated that he is pessimistic regarding the pace of highway construction this year, citing the lack of predictability of payments to contractors.

Although the year should be a peak one, with 250 kilometers of highways completed, Grindeanu expresses reservations about whether this objective will be achieved, mentioning that last year there was no trust between the ministry and the contractors, which led to delays.

Grindeanu emphasized that to obtain funding through PNRR, the Moldova Highway must be completed by August, but there are concerns regarding the contractor's capacity.
