The National Railway Federation Commercial Movement of Wagons has raised an alarm signal regarding the railway infrastructure in Romania, which is in a critical state due to the blockage of the Revenue and Expenditure Budget of CNCF CFR SA for the year 2026.

Trade unionists emphasize that the railway system operates by overburdening employees, which affects traffic safety. The budget blockage has already led to delays in works and uncertainties for employees.

The Federation demands a realistic budget for maintenance and investments, the abandonment of harmful measures, and the opening of a social dialogue with the authorities. They also request the interim Minister of Transport, Radu Miruță, to participate in discussions to find the necessary solutions.
