The leader of the PSD, Sorin Grindeanu, emphasized on Facebook that the event with the crashed drone in Galați highlights the lack of an effective anti-drone defense system in Romania. Grindeanu stated that this incident reflects the country's inability to protect itself against targeted attacks and called on the Minister of Defense, Radu Miruță, to focus on equipping the Romanian Army, even in the context of his dismissal.

He criticized the current leadership for the vulnerabilities created and called for the rapid formation of a new government of professionals to address these issues. Grindeanu emphasized that Romania urgently needs an adequate defense system to face current challenges.
