Sorin Grindeanu says he assured EU ambassadors that he has no agreement with AUR

Sorin Grindeanu had a meeting with the ambassadors of the European Union, where he discussed the political and economic situation of Romania after the motion of no confidence. Grindeanu emphasized that the agreements established at Cotroceni regarding the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR), SAFE, and OECD remain unchanged. He answered the ambassadors' questions, who sought clarifications regarding possible post-motion scenarios. Grindeanu stated that he had no agreement with AUR, emphasizing PSD's openness to quickly find solutions.

The motion of no confidence, supported by PSD and AUR, led to the downfall of the pro-European government led by Ilie Bolojan, in a context of multiple crises for Romania. This situation has generated concerns among European partners, who are monitoring the political developments in the country.
