The interim president of the PSD, Sorin Grindeanu, launched harsh criticisms against Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan after he rejected the PSD's proposal for the reform of special pensions for magistrates. Grindeanu emphasized the importance of governing with an "open heart," in contrast to Bolojan's stern attitude towards citizens.

He accused Bolojan of not truly wanting to solve the issue of magistrates' pensions, but rather engaging in a "public relations game." Grindeanu mentioned that although Bolojan claims he wants to eliminate special pensions, his actions suggest otherwise. He also demanded that Bolojan step down if he refuses to engage in dialogue with the Justice system. The Constitutional Court declared the reform of magistrates' pensions unconstitutional due to the lack of approval from the CSM, which has generated even more tensions within the coalition.
