The leaders of AUR came to the consultations at the Cotroceni Palace with a brochure entitled "Measures for repairing the errors of the Bolojan government", while George Simion stated that the party assumes its entry into government.
"We are the second party by weight in Parliament and the first party in the sympathies of Romanians. We have requested a mandate for the formation of the new government, we assume our entry into government and the removal of Romania from the crisis. Half of Romania places its hopes in us and this half must sit at the decision-making table, it can no longer be ignored. We are willing to discuss with anyone for solutions to get Romania out of where it has been taken. We are not guilty for the political crisis. However, a heavy responsibility rests on our shoulders, we must set aside divergences and come up with responsible solutions, not the continuation of an indefinite period of a crisis that costs. We ask all citizens to understand when we say that in the near future we will only discuss solutions, and sterile discussions should give way to real solutions, it cannot be done with the same people. If in the current composition of Parliament we do not find a solution, we must return to the people. We hope that Romanians will be on our side now as well," declared AUR leader George Simion.
Part of the AUR delegation were also Dan Dungaciu and Petrișor Peiu, who brought with them brochures entitled "Measures for repairing the errors of the Bolojan government". On the first page of the respective brochure, it is mentioned that "a future prime minister proposed by AUR will take measures to repair the errors of the Bolojan government".
President Nicușor Dan stated that he will ask all parties about the majority they propose, whether it is a complete, minority, or technocratic government, emphasizing the need for a pro-Western majority. Consultations continue with representatives of the National Liberal Party, according to the agenda set by the Presidential Administration.
