George Burcea, the POT candidate for the Capital City Hall, does not know what his campaign budget is: "My mom doesn't give me money to run for office"

George Burcea, actor and candidate of the Young People's Party (POT) in the local elections in Bucharest, was visibly disturbed by the questions regarding the source of the money for his electoral campaign in an interview. He could not provide details about the campaign budget or the financiers, stating that he is not responsible for these aspects and that the money is managed by the party and the president Anamaria Gavrilă. Burcea emphasized that if he receives over 3% of the votes, he will be able to request reimbursement of expenses from the Permanent Electoral Authority. He also mentioned that he accepted the candidacy due to the party's closeness to Călin Georgescu and emphasized that he has no political past, unlike his opponent, Anca Alexandrescu. The electoral campaign for the Capital City Hall will start on November 22, and Burcea can submit his candidacy until November 17.
