Iratxe Garcia Perez, president of the European Socialists (S&D), expressed confidence that Sorin Grindeanu will not form a government with AUR in the future, while the Romanian social democrats are set to submit a motion of censure on Tuesday with the far-right party against the Bolojan Government.

Garcia Perez emphasized that PSD decided to leave the government due to the failure to implement its legitimate proposals within the coalition.

"I reiterate my full confidence in PSD. Yesterday (Monday - ed.) there were very clear and direct statements from the party leader. PSD decided to leave the government because they failed to pass some of their proposals, which, in a coalition government, are legitimate. This did not happen, and that was the reason why our colleagues, through an internal referendum in the party, almost unanimously, decided to leave the government," said Iratxe Garcia Perez at the press conference of her political group in the European Parliament, in Strasbourg.

Additionally, Garcia Perez expressed hope that the liberals will adopt a similar position, avoiding collaboration with AUR.
