FABC, letter to Ilie Bolojan and the head of CNAS: Three oncology medications are missing, and another eight have supply issues.

The Federation of Cancer Patients Associations in Romania (FABC) has sent an open letter to interim Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan and the president of CNAS, Horațiu Moldovan, highlighting the risks for oncology patients caused by the lack of essential medications.

FABC has identified three medications that are completely missing and another eight with supply disruptions, which leads to delays in treatments and jeopardizes the health of patients. The organization emphasized that oncology patients live with the "uncertainty" of access to treatments, and delays can have fatal consequences. In the letter, FABC requested transparency regarding the stock of medications, immediate solutions for supply, and constant dialogue with patient organizations to identify issues within the healthcare system.

FABC highlighted that the lack of swift actions can lead to loss of human lives and urged authorities to verify the reality in hospitals before making optimistic statements about the availability of medications.
