The designated Prime Minister Eugen Tomac declared on Friday that he has taken note of the USR's decision not to support the government's investiture, but he feels prepared and determined to continue the effort.

USR, through its president Dominic Fritz, accused that a technocratic executive will not resolve the political crisis, but will mask the PSD's refusal to assume governance. Tomac emphasized the importance of a stable government for the country, mentioning that he will submit the list of ministers and the government program to Parliament.

He stated that he will continue discussions with parliamentarians from all parties, already having the support of over 200 members of Parliament. Tomac specified that he will not collaborate with "unacceptable" parliamentarians and that he is negotiating with those who support Romania's integration into Europe and the partnership with the United States. He emphasized the necessity of establishing stability in the face of political and economic instability.
