Eugen Tomac, the honorary presidential advisor and MEP, stated on Tuesday for G4Media that he has never been banned in Ukraine, thus responding to the claims of Kelemen Hunor, the president of UDMR, who had asserted that both were banned in Ukraine due to their positions in defense of the Romanian community.

"Eugen Tomac is a well-known political figure. We know each other, it seems we both were banned from Ukraine at one point for supporting the rights of Romanians and the Hungarian community in Ukraine," said UDMR leader Kelemen Hunor on Tuesday when asked about the proposal from PMP leader Eugen Tomac for the position of prime minister.

Tomac emphasized that he has never had a ban in Ukraine.

In reality, he was banned in Russia in 2015.
