During the last Local Council meeting, Mayor Emil Boc and USR councilors had a tense exchange regarding the Cluj subway project. USR councilor Paul Helmer requested information about the project's execution percentage, mentioning that he had encountered difficulties in obtaining this data. Boc initially responded that the project director would communicate the information, but he became irritated by the USR's insistence, accusing them of blocking an essential project for the city's mobility.

The mayor emphasized the importance of the subway in solving traffic problems and criticized USR for their lack of maturity in supporting this project. In response, Boc accused the councilors of bad faith and that their actions harm the future of Cluj, stressing that a long-term vision is needed for the benefit of the community.
