Diana Buzoianu, the interim Minister of the Environment, stated that it is difficult to return to annual allocations of over one billion lei for the Rabla Program, emphasizing that Romania is facing systemic environmental issues that require urgent funding. In total, 200,000 old cars have been replaced through this program, but Buzoianu mentioned that other projects need to be prioritized, such as the greening of waste dumps and improving water and sewage infrastructure.

For the current year, the budget allocated to the Rabla Program is 300 million lei. The Minister explained that the program will mainly support products manufactured or assembled in Europe, considering that the funds come from pollution taxes. Additionally, a budget draft for the Environmental Fund Administration has been published, which provides significant allocations for water, sewage, battery storage, and public lighting.
