PNL MEP: "PSD officially formalizes today the parliamentary collaboration with AUR, SOS and POT"

PNL MEP Dan Motreanu commented on the PSD announcement regarding the voting conditions for the state budget for 2026, expressing his concern about the lack of clarity regarding the funding sources to support vulnerable categories. Motreanu emphasized that PSD needs to clarify whether it intends to introduce new taxes or reduce the budgets of other ministries to support these proposals. He concluded that, through this initiative, PSD is formalizing its collaboration with AUR, SOS, and POT, questioning whether this is just the beginning of an alliance.

Discussions on the state budget in Parliament will begin on Monday, amid tensions between PNL and PSD. PSD President Sorin Grindeanu announced that the party will support the necessary amendments to reflect the social-democratic vision in the budget, including a Solidarity Package for 3.5 million families. Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan characterized PSD's actions as political and called for responsibility, emphasizing that the budget is tight and that past mistakes should not be repeated.
