The 1st District Court has reduced the judicial control of Călin Georgescu from 60 to 45 days, eliminating two obligations

The Bucharest 1st District Court has decided to reduce the duration of the judicial control imposed on Călin Georgescu from 60 to 45 days, starting April 27, 2025. The judges removed the prohibition to possess weapons and the obligation to communicate information about his income. Georgescu is being investigated for several offenses, including instigating actions against the constitutional order and communicating false information in the 2024 election campaign. Other conditions of the judicial control remain in place, including a ban on leaving the country without the approval of the authorities.
