Ciprian Ciucu declared that PNL is open to renegotiating the protocol with PSD "in extremis": "If you come back (...) we don't even want apologies, but we want to negotiate the protocol."

Ciprian Ciucu, first vice-president of PNL, stated in a Digi24 broadcast that a reconciliation with PSD is possible, but under certain conditions. He emphasized that PNL does not expect apologies, but demands that PSD rid itself of leaders considered responsible for the recent tensions, Sorin Grindeanu and Claudiu Manda.

Ciucu mentioned that, in the event that PSD returns and the Government does not fall, the Coalition protocol should be renegotiated, establishing clear deadlines for the responsibilities of each party. He emphasized that PNL will not collaborate with PSD if the Government is dismissed.

The political crisis was generated by the withdrawal of PSD's support for Ilie Bolojan, and President Nicușor Dan has called on the parties to de-escalate the rhetoric and focus on solutions.
