Ciprian Ciucu, the PNL mayor of Sector 6, said that he would clearly win the Mayor's Office if he was supported by USR. He analyzed various scenarios, saying a PNL-PSD candidate would also have a good chance. Ciucu said that the danger of extremists is not relevant for Bucharest, but rather the lack of competence of the candidates. Regarding a possible candidacy of Gabriella Firea from PSD, he said that it would be "funny" and that PSD might try to protect the real party candidate.
