The First Vice President of PNL, Ciprian Ciucu, stated that he does not rule out a candidacy for the position of general mayor of the Capital, having an internal survey that shows him as the favorite option. However, he is reserved in announcing his intention to run until the internal procedures of the party are finalized.

Ciucu emphasized the importance of respecting these stages and is waiting for the Executive to adopt a Government decision for organizing the by-elections, which would allow for a rapid start to the electoral campaign. He mentioned that the campaign period will be short, lasting a maximum of three weeks, and expressed hope that the status of PNL will allow for efficient organization within this timeframe.
