<p>Interior Minister Cătălin Predoiu would take over as interim president of the PNL and Mircea Abrudean would be interim president of the Senate, following Klaus Iohannis' resignation. Iohannis has announced that he will resign from office and leave the Cotroceni Palace as of February 12 in order to avoid a political crisis generated by the suspension procedure initiated by the Parliament.
